A very happy 46th anniversary celebration

Today was very special, thanks to special friends who came to serenade Lloyd today. We made it a party with all their families when it was scheduled for our 46th wedding anniversary. The group is called Harmony and they plan for special programs in May and December and sing for senior citizens and nursing homes. They all are members of the Selma Ward and really do a wonderful presentation.

Dad (Lloyd)is front and center

A little party followed in the Therapy Room

Some special friends: Bert and Eileen Engstrom, Bruce and Irma Bybee, and Linda and Steve McNaughton

On the top, they did a special number for us: "My Guy"; They are holding a picture of Lloyd with the number 46 on it. On the bottom is one of the Christmas songs they sang:--Carol of the Bells.

Weekly update

Hello friends and family--Katie will make me a blogger, yet! Little by little and step by step--Lloyd gets better every day; no walking yet, but he is standing better and is still losing weight--down to 314, now. I'm in the midst of getting ready for Christmas--some of my staff came over this morning and we cut and wrapped 14 batches of caramels. What a relief. I still have about 50 cheese balls to make and bake a garbage sack full of chex mix; the plan is for these to be distributed on Dec. 18th. It's still questionable whether we will be able to get Lloyd home on Christmas--he needs to be able to transfer from chair to car, and car to chair, etc. We're getting there, and he has a great motivation to come home--Derek and Vicki and their five pixies are coming for Christmas. What fun! We feel blessed--Stephanie and Guy and Daniel were here for Thanksgiving--and of course, Katie has been a great help. She's going to accompany me to our company party tonight so I don't have to drive in Fresno at night--my night vision is the pits! Today is Santa Lucia Day in Kingsburg--but I'll miss the parade as I have to be in Fresno. Thanks so much for all your love and support. It helps--love, Mom, grandmom and Georgie
